I’m Mark Jackson, a New York real estate attorney and general counsel dedicated to helping clients close complex transactions, resolve disputes, and move projects forward with confidence. With over a decade of experience advising on commercial real estate law, I provide practical, business-focused legal guidance to property owners, developers, and commercial tenants across the greater New York area.

Throughout my career, I’ve served as counsel to some of the city’s most impactful mixed-use districts — including the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Two Trees’ commercial portfolio, and Jamestown’s Industry City. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of what it takes to negotiate leases, manage litigation, secure entitlements, and navigate the regulatory and operational complexities that come with large-scale real estate projects.

Before founding my own practice, I worked as a construction manager with Lend Lease, a global real estate development firm. That hands-on experience helps me approach legal challenges with a builder’s mindset — practical, efficient, and grounded in how projects actually come to life.

My path to real estate law began in the Peace Corps, where I served in Marcala, Honduras, working on civic improvement projects and teaching chess. That experience shaped my approach to law today: thoughtful strategy, community focus, and creative problem-solving.

Now based in Brooklyn, New York, I bring that same perspective to my solo practice — offering clients the responsiveness of a small firm with the insight of in-house counsel. I live here with my wife and three kids, spend my downtime on the chessboard, and bike to work whenever possible.
